Here is the place to depict the links of the rescue chain for error recognition, localizing and preferably fixing under 🐧GNU/Linux (setting a trap for the bug):

A game should always be started on the command line (CLI) as this is the only way to get full error messages to localize the problem. For this one opens a terminal window (depending on the chosen 🐧Desktop Environment [DE]), e.g. with KDE konsole and with XFCE xfce4‑terminal, in which a shell (mostly the BASH) is automatically started – i.e. the command line.
